Do not try to imagine the whole story at once. Convert each sentence into a small, exact relationship.

1. Anchor fixed positions

Place any event assigned to the first, last, or another numbered position. These anchors divide the timeline into smaller gaps.

2. Keep immediate pairs together

If one event happens immediately before another, treat the pair as a single block until its position becomes clear.

3. Count distance precisely

“Two events between” and “two positions apart” are different statements. ClueAxis always states distance explicitly.

4. Test the tightest gap

Combine anchors and pairs. When a pair fits only one remaining gap, place it and re-read the other clues.

5. Use hints as direction

A fair hint points to the next useful relationship before revealing a position. The goal is to restore momentum, not remove the deduction.
